Lakshya

Lakshya safety and privacy

A parent should never have to wonder what their child is seeing. Lakshya was designed around that constraint.

How screening works

Every message a child sends is checked before the AI is allowed to reply.

Screening happens in layers. Automated checks catch the obvious patterns. More capable detection catches subtler ones, such as a question that looks academic but is about something else, or language that suggests a child is in distress. Anything that needs a human eye goes to a trained reviewer.

If a child says something that suggests they are in danger or in crisis, the conversation is routed to their trusted parent contact. Lakshya does not try to counsel a child through a crisis on its own.

What Lakshya does not do

  • It does not show advertising to children.
  • It does not use streaks, leaderboards or push notifications to pull a child back in.
  • It does not give a child the answer to their homework, however many times they ask.
  • It does not keep a child in a conversation after the daily limit a parent set.
  • It does not act as a counsellor. Distress is escalated to a trusted adult.

What we commit to
